The Indian Medical Tennis Society was born from a simple idea: bringing together doctors who love tennis.
To promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, networking, and sporting excellence among medical and dental professionals through the game of tennis. We believe that doctors who prioritize their own health become stronger clinicians, leaders, and role models for society.
To establish India as a leading force in international medical tennis while creating a lifelong community where doctors can connect through sport, friendship, and shared experiences.
What started as a passion project among a small group of approximately 13 doctors in Mumbai quickly revealed an unmet need. Across India, thousands of medical professionals shared the same desire — to stay active, compete, travel, network, and connect with like-minded colleagues through sport. Recognizing this opportunity, IMTS was formally established with the goal of creating a national platform for medical and dental professionals who enjoy tennis. Today, IMTS proudly represents over 500 doctors from more than 20 states and continues to expand every year.
The inaugural National Medical Tennis Championship welcomed approximately 120 doctors from across India.
Participation grew to over 150 doctors, establishing IMTS as a rapidly expanding national community.
More than 200 doctors participated in the largest championship to date, confirming IMTS as India's leading medical tennis organization.
